Next Generation Traffic Signal Controller (NGTSC) Rollout – South Coast Region

Omexom Australia delivered the upgrade of 10 signalised intersections across the South Coast Region for the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR), supporting the modernisation of Queensland’s traffic management network.

The project involved replacing existing traffic signal controllers with the Next Generation Traffic Signal Controller (NGTSC) system, upgrading all traffic signal lanterns to Extra Low Voltage (ELV) technology, and configuring and integrating the new controllers with TMR’s existing network. By delivering these upgrades safely and efficiently within live road environments, the project has improved the reliability, maintainability and future capability of critical traffic signal infrastructure.
